British Virgin Islands has gained its success in the offshore services industry by promoting a flexible law on offshore corporations: the BVI International Business Companies Act of1984 that has been further improved in 2005. It has established a comprehensive legislative framework for BVI Business Companies, BVI IBCs included.
- Information such as the name of the company, the address of the registration office, the appointment of the registered agent, the name of the shareholders and the number of shares issued to them as well as the name of the director of the company has to be provided. These documents are going to be signed by the registered agent in the name of the investor.
- In order to incorporate a company, its registered agent has to file the Memorandum and Articles of Association to the Registrar
- If all the requirements of the Act are fulfilled, the Registrar will assign the company a unique number and will issue a certificate of incorporation
Once all necessary information has been received by Starting Offshore the registration process only takes three days to complete.
